SITE UPDATE-21.5

V.21.5- This is a big X.5 update. Usually they just refine things and at least add one new thing. This one has three new things, and they are big things. But, there are still the refinements from THE EPIC Version 21. Here's what I did:

• The NEW Live Steam...
• I have had a Ustream account for a while, but never used it. So, I did some experiments. I reminded myself why I can't. I can only use my some laptops because they have webcams and they must be plugged in. If they are unplugged, the stream goes really choppy and even shuts off and just does sound. But with the limitations, I finally added it to the Main Site. I'll see what I can do with it. I'll try to stream storms and what not LIVE!
• The NEW Chat Room...
• Ustream also has a chat box next to the stream on the stream's page. You can actually embed that too. So, I create a new stream channel. However, I would stream anything. It's just there for the Chat Room. So, I took that chat room and put it on the site as well. And of course, they are also embedded in the menu as well.
• The NEW Image Changer...
• On my blog, I do a special thing that lets you compare any changes that I do to a picture. It's been through three big changes. This one is the fourth. With all the changes, there was still one last thing that ruined it. If you were on a mobile device, most importantly a touch screen device, it didn't work. You would tap it and it would change, but you couldn't get it to change back unless there was a second comparison for you to tap on. So, I set out on the quest of finding something that would let you hover over the picture and it'll change BUT ALSO let you click on it and have it change. I found some that works when you hover and some that works when you click. Well, after two weeks of searching...I found what I needed. I WAS SO HAPPY! It still does everything that it could do before, but it also works when you click on it. But, I wasn't done. I needed to make sure it works on a touchscreen. Luckily, Google Chrome this emulation thing. You pick a device and the page reloads as if it was on that device. You can pick iPhones, iPads, and everything else. It's quite fascinating and I didn't know about it. It also turns the mouse into something that can only click or "tap", like on a touch screen. So, I loaded a test page with the new image changer and it didn't change when I hovered but it changed with I click and or "tapped". So, IT WORKS!!! I FEEL SO GOOD AND HAPPY! The code is a little more complex new from the super simple 3.0 version, but I think 4.0 is the finally update for it. I have solved all the issues it has. I'm proud of that.
• The Hover Image Panel...
• In V.21, I added this panel to the POTW picture in the side bar. When you hover over the picture, the panel slides in with extra links and things. I mentioned that the new things in V.21 where mostly added in one spot, but they could expand into other places. This is the case. I added the panel to the Latest photo section. I did that because the link inside it is broken. I upload a picture and it automatically changes, and the link inside the picture is supposed to too and go to that new picture. But it doesn't. In fact, it goes nowhere. It's broken. So, I used to panel to give you a link that'll take you to the album's page. I also set it up so that you can click anywhere in the panel and it'll go, not just the link. HOWEVER! I wasn't done there. In the Scroll News section in the side bar, I have to video picture links to the latest videos on my channel and the father's. Below those links were other links that went to the channels and a subscribe link. Using the Image Panel, I moved those links below the pictures to inside the panel and when you hovered over the video picture it slides in. If you click on the links, they go where they need to go. But if you click anywhere else it'll go to the video. It's quite nice. Those were the only places I expanded.
• The Main Blog's Font...
• I changed the size of the font on the blog to 16px. It makes things a little easier to read. It's not too big of a change, but it is noticeable. This update also changes all the past posts too. :-)
• The Update Blog's Font...
• The Update Blog used to have a grayish font. I updated it to white. It makes it look better. That's all I did.
• The Links...
• I made any links on my current sites (as in not the Old Menu or the Old Site) bold. Any link...anywhere. I make them bold anyways in my current posts, so I made the rest match.
• A Better Way to View...
• I updated the BWTV section some more. I cleaned up the code and did some spell checking. I also added things about Ad Block. Go the Main Site to read about it.
• The Marquees...
• I cleaned them up too. There were a few code errors.
• And lastly, the little things...
• You know, the little experiments I do and the quick fixes I forget about. There's nothing really new in the works.

THAT'S IT! Just a little update of the new things. I don't know what I'm going to do next. I'm trying to find new things, but there was so much in V.21 that I don't know what to do. I'll keep trying. See you next month.
